I am a self-proclaimed pattern slut. I love a pattern-on-pattern power clash. But damn if a monochromatic and/or color blocking thing hasn't been creeping in my head since I saw the cult documentary Wild Wild Country. I'm into the idea of various shades of one color -- even better if they clash a bit. To switch it up for this season, I weeded through all the prints in my closet to find my solid color pieces, then I just paired them with "matching" sweaters. I'm conflicted on a sweater tuck. I'm on board with the idea of it, but I didn't love the added bulk to my waistline. Overall, I was excited by the simplicity and ease of this update.
